About Your Piercing
Bradford Piercing Atelier uses only implant-grade titanium (ASTM F136) and surgical steel jewellery for all initial piercings. All equipment is single-use sterile or autoclave-sterilised. Our piercers follow APP (Association of Professional Piercers) standards.
Age Requirements & Parental Consent
18+ years: You may receive any piercing.
16–17 years: You may receive most piercings EXCEPT intimate piercings (genitals and below). A parent or guardian must be present with written consent. Photo ID required.
Under 16 years: You may only receive ear and nose piercings. A parent or guardian must be present with written consent and photo ID. A photograph of ID is not sufficient—original ID must be presented.
We reserve the right to refuse service if age cannot be verified or if parental consent requirements are not met.
Health Declarations
You confirm that you have disclosed all relevant medical conditions, allergies, and medications. You understand that certain conditions (e.g. blood disorders, diabetes, immunosuppression) may affect healing. You are not under the influence of alcohol or drugs. You are not pregnant or breastfeeding (certain piercings may be inadvisable).
Aftercare Obligations
You agree to follow the aftercare instructions provided. Healing times vary: lobes 6–8 weeks, cartilage 6–12 months, body piercings 3–12 months. Failure to follow aftercare may result in infection, rejection, or scarring. Bradford Piercing Atelier is not liable for complications arising from failure to follow aftercare.
Risks
You understand that all piercings carry inherent risks including but not limited to: infection, bleeding, scarring, keloid formation, allergic reaction, nerve damage, rejection, and migration. These risks are minimised by our professional standards but cannot be entirely eliminated.
Refund Policy
Deposits are non-refundable. Full payment is required on the day of the appointment. Cancellations with less than 24 hours notice will forfeit any deposit paid. Rescheduling is available with 48 hours notice by emailing us with subject: RESCHEDULE REQUEST.
Photography
We may photograph your piercing for portfolio/social media purposes. You may opt out by informing your piercer on the day. Photographs will not include identifying features without explicit consent.
GDPR & Data
Your personal data is collected for the purpose of your appointment and aftercare. Data is retained for the minimum period required by law. You have the right to access, rectify, or erase your data. Contact bradford.piercing.atelier@gmail.com for data requests.
